14 years ago our founder David Iliffe was called by God to help with Children's camps in Latvia. His vision was to establish a base for the best things that he had been involved in over his 55 years of camp leadership.
Initially he was involved with speaking at the camps and with training up leaders to run them. With insufficient older leaders to help run them the team turned to younger 16 year old 'leaders' to be room leaders.
One of those young leaders was Iveta Konute. She quickly grew into the role and came over to England to complete the Children Worldwide 'Future Builders' course at the college in Birmingham.

She is now in charge of Children Worldwide in Latvia with a large team of her own organising many camps every year, reaching thousands of Children with the good news of Jesus.
Part of David's vision was to buy a Centre in Latvia where camps could be run. With this in mind the centre at Ropazi about 20 miles east of capital city Riga was purchased. With 114 acres of land and a large building this site has been cleared and developed into a centre which can accomodate up to 400 children.
There are three main areas at Norkalni. The Red House which sleeps up to 80 people, The Cabins Area for up to 120 as well as The Tented Area that can take 200. In addition to this a new accomodation block with a sports hall is in the process of construction.
This is an exciting work and if you would like to find out how you can be invovled in:
