History of Dalesdown
Dalesdown is owned and operated by Family Foundations Trust, a Christian Charity which is responsible for the work of Dalesdown and Children Worldwide.
Both Dalesdown and Children Worldwide were established by a small group of Christian people, led by Counties evangelist David Iliffe, who, in the late 1980’s, started a search for a venue which could be used for summer camps and ministry with children and young people. The search led to a former school building and an acre of ground which had been abandoned and neglected for several years and was in a poor state of repair. The small team set about renovation of the site and within months accepted their first visitors from local Churches. Through the drive and vision of David and his small team, along with the support of many people who were generous with their time, skills and prayer support, the site was developed and considerably extended to become the incredible facility we have today.
Dalesdown today covers 8 acres of ground and enjoys a large range of facilities which are offered to schools and Churches across West Sussex and beyond.
Dalesdown also provides the base and national offices of Children Worldwide and Family Foundations Trust.
