Camping at Dalesdown
Tents and caravans are permitted at Dalesdown, but to comply with planning regulations must be pre-booked.
Where to camp
Camping is permitted close to the turning circle outside the main centre, and on the level ground along the fence bordering the land.
If you wish to camp elsewhere in the grounds, please speak to the Duty Manager on arrival.
Care should be taken to ensure that sufficient space is left between camping units. In general, tents should be no less than 3m apart. Caravans must be at least 6m from any other camping unit.
Driving on the grass
Please do not drive on the grass more than necessary. After setting up, cars should be removed to the car park.
Shower and toilet facilities are available to campers in the main building only.
A water tap is provided at the rear and front of the building, close to the kitchen. A sink area providing hot water is available to campers in the outside kitchen area.
Electric hook up is not available at Dalesdown.
Chemical Waste Disposal (Portable toilets)
Please note that there are no facilities for chemical waste disposal at Dalesdown. Under no circumstances should chemicals be placed in the drains at Dalesdown. Failure to comply will cause serious damage to the septic tank which will be chargeable to the group responsible for the damage.
Disposal of rubbish
Please dispose of rubbish only in the waste bins provided.
An outdoor emergency fire alarm is provided for the use of campers. Under no circumstances should this bell be used except in an emergency. Please ensure that all members of the group, especially children, understand the purpose of this bell.
