Dalesdown provides a turning circle which allows coaches to access the site. Coach parking is available only by prior arrangement, and this facility is not available overnight. (This restriction does not apply to mini-busses).
It is essential that coaches approach and leave Dalesdown via the A24, driving along Honeybridge Lane. The road between Dalesdown and Ashurst becomes very narrow and is not suitable for coaches. ‘Sat Nav’ is unreliable in the vicinity of Dalesdown. The access road to Dalesdown is clearly marked by a signboard. Under no circumstances should coaches attempt to access any other farm lanes or bridle paths.
The attention of all drivers is drawn to the fact that the junction of the A24 with Grinders Lane is a busy and dangerous junction. When leaving Dalesdown, we recommend that all drivers, particularly of coaches and large vehicles, turn left (towards Worthing). Drivers who wish to travel north, towards Horsham, Guildford and London, should leave the A24 at Ashington (2 miles) and use the roundabout before re-joining the A24 northbound.
Guidelines are provided which outline our recommendations with regard to the size and type of coach which should be use by visitors to Dalesdown. These guidelines are important to ensure that your coach will be able to access the site. Please download these guidelines and share them with your coach provider.
