Self Catering at Dalesdown
At Dalesdown we are pleased to offer excellent self catering facilities for groups of up to 100 people, or a range of catering packages.
Our kitchen offers two large range ovens with twelve hob burners, small catering grill, microwave oven, toasters, bain marie, display chiller, hot water boiler and a commercial dishwasher. We provide you with access to two catering fridges, a large chest freezer and a dry store equipped with shelving. All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided, along with tea towels, washing up liquid and a full range of cleaning materials.
On arrival at Dalesdown you will be given a thorough introduction to the kitchen and equipment.
The kitchen will have been thoroughly cleaned before you arrive, and we ask you to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay to ensure a safe food preparation environment. We follow a strict maintenance and cleaning regime, adhering to the Safer Food Better Business programme. Our kitchen is currently rated at Food Hygiene Level 5 by Horsham District Council.
With self catering groups, it is important that your caterer has experience of catering for groups of the relevant size.We recommend that at minimum, your kitchen is managed or supervised by a current holder of a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate. It is important that your caterer is familiar with current guidelines with regard to ensuring that members of your group are provided with appropriate allergy advice (as required by the revised regulations which come into force in December 2014), and that kitchen processes for food preparation, handling and storage meet current requirements.
